Job summary

CyberCoders, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to lead health, safety and regulatory programs across food manufacturing and meat processing facilities. You will develop policies, ensure OSHA compliance, deliver training and investigate incidents to improve safety culture and product integrity.

You will collaborate with operations, quality and maintenance to embed safety into processes, oversee contractor safety, run risk assessments and drive continuous improvement across shifts and sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive safety experience in manufacturing, preferably food manufacturing/meat processing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory compliance; experience with OSHA recordkeeping and inspections.
• Experience with HACCP, GMP, FSMA, BRC or SQF is preferred.
• Certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHST or OSHA 30-hour are highly desirable; OSHA 10/30 training required or obtainable.
• Proven experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Strong training and communication skills to influence operations and frontline teams.
• Proficient in safety data analysis, KPI tracking, and safety software; MS Office adept.
• Willingness to conduct plant walkthroughs and support multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive safety management system aligned with OSHA requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct site safety inspections, hazard assessments and JSAs; implement corrective actions.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations; determine root causes and apply preventive actions.
• Design and deliver safety training programs for all staff levels, including OSHA-required training.
• Manage safety metrics, OSHA logs, incident reports and regulatory submissions; prepare leadership reports.
• Coordinate with operations, quality and maintenance to integrate safety into production processes.
• Oversee contractor safety programs, pre-qualification, onboarding and monitoring.
• Drive ergonomics assessments and injury-prevention programs across production areas.
• Develop emergency response and disaster recovery plans; lead drills and inspections.
• Serve as liaison with regulators, insurers and auditors during inspections.
