Overview

A Food Runner at WATR works as part of the service team of the Restaurant/Bar. The Food Runner is primarily responsible for the proper delivery of food from the kitchen to the guest and assisting with overall service to the guest.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a working knowledge of full food and drink menu while making recommendations
• Follows high standards of food product, sanitation, storage, and handling procedures
• Keeps all service areas clean, organized, and stocked
• Follows server’s food orders in placing the correct item in front of the correct guest
• Assists servers with any tableside presentation
• Follows service pace in delivering food from kitchen to guest’s table and ensures food quality and presentation
• Willingness to assist busser or fellow servers in clearing and resetting tables when needed
• Provides engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact, respectable conversation and smiling
• Practices the highest regard for safety within all areas and with all materials
• Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by federal and state guidelines
• Performs other related activities as assigned by management
• Guarantees neat and quality service
• Participates in daily shift meetings
• Adheres to strict uniform & grooming standards
