Overview

As a Busser/Food Runner at Matchbox, you will be an essential part of creating a clean, organized, and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. Join us and become part of a high-energy restaurant that brings people together through delectable food and a vibrant atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure efficient table turnover and a smooth dining experience.
• Clear and reset tables promptly, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
• Assist in the cleaning and preparation of various dining areas and equipment.
• Refill supplies, such as napkins, utensils, and condiments, as needed.
• Support the team by providing assistance during busy periods or special events.
• Foster a positive and friendly atmosphere for guests by engaging with them and addressing their needs.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate effectively in the primary language of the work location (verbal and written).
• Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends, and all holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift)
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40–50 lbs (e.g., trays, dish racks, furniture)
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and twisting
• Manual dexterity to handle dishes, glassware, and cleaning tools safely
• Ability to work in a hot, wet, and noisy environment (kitchen and dining areas)
• Ability to navigate crowded spaces while carrying items safelyVisual and auditory ability to identify spills, hazards, and guest needs
