Job summary

JINYA Ramen Bar is seeking a friendly Runner to act as a Customer Service Ambassador in a fast-paced environment. You will assist servers, clear and reset tables, and help seat guests while maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities include explaining menu items, upselling daily specials, and ensuring a great dining experience. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant support experience preferred in a high-volume setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude with ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions and memos.
• Willing to follow directions and ask questions when needed.
• Lead by example and motivate team.
• Reliable and self-motivated to keep the restaurant clean and presentable.
• Experience in multicultural environments.
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays.
• Able to stand long periods and lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests professionally and positively, taking orders and delivering food.
• Know menu items, desserts, sauces, dressings and sides to explain clearly.
• Communicate clearly with guests and team members across front and back of house.
• Know hours of operation, menu details, allergies, table numbers, payment options.
• Ensure opening/closing duties are completed; keep stations and restrooms clean.
• Assist servers as needed and maintain proper table settings.
• Upsell daily specials and promote JINYA’s offerings while accommodating dietary needs.
