Job summary

JINYA Ramen Bar in Fairfax, VA is seeking a friendly, professional Server to join our team. You will greet guests, take orders, deliver food and beverages, and uphold our steps of service to ensure an exceptional dining experience.

This position requires 2–3 years of server experience in a high-volume environment, excellent communication, and familiarity with POS systems such as OpenTable. You should be able to work weekends and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years server experience in a high-volume setting.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication; strong multi-tasking.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Experience with POS systems such as OpenTable or similar.
• English writing and speaking proficiency.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests in a professional and positive manner, including taking orders and delivering food and beverages.
• Follow steps of service and use upselling techniques to highlight daily specials.
• Greet guests, manage seating and reservations, and maintain a smooth server rotation.
• Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere aligned with JINYA's core values.
• Communicate clearly with guests and team members; answer phones and assign tables.
