Job summary

JINYA Ramen Bar is seeking a Host to welcome guests, manage seating and reservations, and support a friendly, energetic dining environment. You will collaborate with servers and management to ensure an excellent guest experience while embodying JINYA’s values of teamwork and hospitality.

The role requires strong English communication, the ability to multi-task, and dependable reliability. A welcoming, professional demeanor is essential for a positive dining atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Restaurant experience is a plus.
• Outstanding and professional verbal and written skills; ability to multi-task.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification.
• Understand or experience operating POS system or Host System.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, manage seating and wait times, ensure great dining experience.
• Embrace JINYA culture and greet guests with authentic hospitality.
• Provide menus and assist guests with questions or special accommodations.
• Communicate clearly with guests and team; handle reservations and seating rotations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Host area and front door visible to guests.
• Support front of house operations (refill beverages, table setup, reset tables).
• Address minor guest complaints and escalate major concerns to management.
• Know restaurant hours, menu details, allergies, table numbers, payment options.
• Promote JINYA values of Teamwork, Hospitality, Authenticity, Creativity and Integrity.
• Complete tasks assigned by managers.
