Job summary

LSF Framingham LLC is seeking a Food Runner to support our dining team. The role focuses on presenting orders accurately, delivering food promptly, and aiding servers and guests. You will uphold high standards of personal hygiene, interact politely with guests, and communicate needs to the kitchen and bar.

The minimum age is 17, with a high school diploma or equivalent preferred. This on-site position requires the ability to stand, move quickly, and lift up to 50 pounds in a busy restaurant

The Food Runner is responsible for serving food orders as specified by guests in a friendly and courteous manner.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Presents self in courteous and professional manner to guests at all times.• Checks orders for accuracy prior to serving to ensure food items are as guests ordered (sides, extras, etc.).• Delivers food orders with appropriate garnishments.• Delivers food orders timely and, where multiple guests involved, at the same time.• Communicates important information to guests (example: hot plate) and servers (example: guest seeking drink from bar).• Responds to guests’ requests for condiments or other items.• Continually clears away dishes and debris from stations.• Has knowledge of table numbers and the physical layout of the restaurant to ensure prompt and proper service to guests.• Brings guests’ inquiries regarding food allergies to the Manager’s attention immediately.• Ensures station is suitable for serving and meets company standards.SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:• Demonstrates good judgment.• Must be pleasant, cooperative and take direction well with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.• Exhibits and uses good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness.• Must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting.• Must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to guests, co-workers, and supervisors.Minimum age requirement is 17 years of age for this position.High school diploma, equivalency degree or related experience preferred.ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:Restaurant Setting• Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift.• Must have a good sense of balance, be able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, squat, push and pull.• Must be able to frequently lift food, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds.• Position involves repetitive hand and wrist motion.Legal Sea Foods participates in the federal E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility of all new hires.
