Job summary

Smith & Wollensky is seeking a Food Runner to support our dining room on busy days, delivering timely orders with accuracy and a courteous demeanor. You will be expected to learn the layout, coordinate with servers, and uphold high service standards.

Responsibilities include checking orders, assisting guests with requests, and maintaining a clean, organized station while ensuring safety and efficiency during service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Open availability to work day and evening shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Pleasant, cooperative and able to take direction with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serves food orders as specified by guests.
• Delivers food orders timely and with appropriate garnishments.
• Checks orders for accuracy prior to serving to ensure items are correct.
• Communicates important information to guests and servers.
• Responds to guests’ requests for condiments or other items.
• Maintains station cleanliness and promptly clears dishes.
