Job summary

Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel is seeking a Server Assistant to ensure guest orders are prepared and delivered accurately and on time. You will help prepare the bar for the day, assist with guest requests, and support seamless flow between bar staff, servers, and kitchen operations.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and learn menu items and garnishes. Monday through Friday and some week-night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Must-have: week night availability.
• Knowledge of appropriate tray settings and service ware.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to understand verbal English and read safety notices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to learn all menu items and garnishes.

• Ability to maintain composure during peak hours.

Responsibilities

• Set up garnishes for dishes and prepare trays.
• Stock all needed china and flatware.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Promptly and efficiently reset trays.
• Maintain stock of china, silver, and linens.
• Set up and break down station at start/end of shift.
• Assist with guest requests to ensure total satisfaction.
• Maintain communication between servers and kitchen staff.
• Keep track of ticket times and ensure prompt service.
• Maintain standard of plate presentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be knowledgeable in preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
