Job summary

Legends is seeking a Runner/Busser in Denver, CO to deliver food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately, assist with clearing tables, and help maintain overall restaurant cleanliness. The 2nd shift typically runs in the late afternoons and evenings.

Qualified candidates have at least two years of food and beverage experience, can carry three entrée plates, read kitchen tickets, and communicate effectively with servers and the culinary team.

Qualifications

• At least two years of food and beverage experience as a busser or runner.
• Ability to carry three entrée plates at the same time for long distances up to 150 ft.
• Ability to read kitchen tickets and understand seat numbers and course breakdowns.
• Flexibility to work long hours including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and transport up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests.
• Willingness to obtain TEAM Coalition Alcohol Management certificate.
• Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance.

Position will be posted till 18th of August or filled. $18.81 an hour- 2nd shift primarily in the late afternoons and evenings

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of a Runner/Busser is to deliver food from the kitchen to guests as quickly and efficiently as possible to ensure great guest experiences. They will also help clear tables

• Deliver food and beverages from kitchen to guests in a timely and organized manner utilizing key information on kitchen tickets including table and seat numbers
• Lead communication between the servers and culinary team
• Read kitchen tickets to ensure quality and accuracy of all orders
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience - Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service – check with customers to make sure they have everything they need each time you arrive at a table
• Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server immediately.
• Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and service areas
• Assist bussers as needed with clearing tables, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
• Provide guidance to guests including dining options and general attraction information.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Prior experience in the food and beverage industry as a busser or food runner for at least two years
• Must have the ability to skillfully carry three entrée plates at the same time for long distances up to 150 ft.
• Ability to retain and recite menu details
• Have an understanding of the expo process in a fine dining restaurant
• Must be able to read kitchen tickets and understand seat number, table numbers and course breakdowns
• Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts including: mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
• Must have excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, table settings, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
• Must have a high school diploma
• Must be able to succeed in a face paced environment
• Must maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance standards
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting during set up and execution of service
• Willingness and drive to exceed the guest expectations
• Ability to effectively listen and take direction from supervisor
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a smile
• Ability to transport up to 50lbs on a continuous basis.
• Ability to be standing and walking for long periods of time.
