Ancho & Agave in Naperville, IL is seeking a friendly Food Runner to join our dining team. You’ll transport meals from kitchen to tables, ensure high presentation, and coordinate between front and back of house to keep service smooth.

Ideal candidates are reliable with good communication, able to multitask in a fast-paced setting, and capable of lifting up to 35 lbs. Part‑time schedule with flexible hours and opportunities for growth within our welcoming restaurant.

Qualifications

• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately; ensuring high quality presentation.
• Acting as the point‑of‑contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff; communicating food orders.
• Paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies).
• Ensuring food is served in accordance with safety standards (temperature).
• Answering guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items.
• Providing side work and station setup.

Responsibilities

Delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately; ensuring that the highest quality of food presentation is maintained; acting as the point‑of‑contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff; communicating food orders; paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies); ensuring food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature); answering guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items; providing side work and station setup.
