Job summary

Ancho & Agave is hiring a Food Runner to support our dining rooms and ensure a great guest experience. You will deliver meals promptly, assist with staging and presentation, and coordinate between kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Open availability with flexible weekends and shifts is preferred. This role offers an hourly wage plus tips, with opportunities to learn and advance within the team.

Qualifications

• Understand hygiene and food safety rules.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately.
• Maintain high quality of food presentation.
• Serve as the point-of-contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff.
• Communicate food orders clearly and promptly.
• Note priorities and special requests (e.g. allergies).
• Ensure food is served according to safety standards (temperature).
• Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items.
• Perform side work and station setup.

Ancho & Agave is hiring Food Runners to join our growing team! If you have a passion for food and an eye for detail, we want you! You’ll play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our dining rooms and ensure a great experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

Food Runner responsibilities include but are not limited to delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately, ensuring that the highest quality of food presentation is maintained, acting as the point-of-contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff, communicating food orders, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies), ensuring food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature), answering guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items, side work, and station setup.

Skills & Qualifications

• Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and/or plates and stand for long hours.
