Job summary

Sea Oaks Property Owners Association is seeking a reliable Food Runner to support our dining team. The successful candidate will deliver meals from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately while maintaining high standards of presentation, hygiene, and hospitality.

Responsibilities include assisting servers, ensuring correct dish presentation, monitoring food quality, following safety standards, and keeping trays and supplies organized for efficient service.

Description

We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and team-oriented Food Runner to support our team! The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and hospitality.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities

Essential roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Complete the set up and placement of catering equipment with hot water or ice as necessary.
• Ensure that all food is transported, handled and served in a wholesome, sanitary manner- maintaining positioin points and table numbers to prevent the auctioning of food.
• Ensure each dish is properly presented and matches the order prior to leaving the kitchen.
• Assist Servers in clearing, resetting, and maintaining the tables within the dining room(s) as needed.
• Monitor food quality and immediately report any concerns or incorrect orders.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain food trays in a clean and sanitary manner, making sure no dirty trays are taken into the dining room(s).
• Inform the Chef, Sous Chef(s), and/or Expeditor of the tables served, or fired.
• Ensure proper stock of to-go boxes, butter, linen trays, tray jacks, disposable silverware and other items as outlined.
• Understand all menu items and their ingredients to answer questions regarding allergens or other items upon delivery of food.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the Food Runner should have:

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent to attention to detail.
• Must be able to stan and walk for extended periods of time (8 Hours).
• Must be able to safely carry food trays and dishes (50 pounds on an Intermittent basis).
• Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch and squat.
• Must be able to speak, hear, and see.
• Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.
• eligibility to work in the United States.
