Job summary

Sun Valley Resort is seeking a detail oriented Food Runner to ensure timely and accurate delivery of guest orders. You will coordinate between front-of-house and kitchen, verify quality and presentation, and help maintain efficient service during busy shifts.

Duties include relaying orders, prioritizing tasks, assisting with final plate preparation, and delivering meals with speed and care. This is a full-time, on-site role in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Qualifications

• Be able to stand for prolonged periods.
• Regularly walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
• Must safely move objects up to approximately 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an efficient flow of orders from servers to the kitchen.
• Ensure orders are prepared with correct priority.
• Assist in final dish preparation (garnish, plate cleanliness, sauces).
• Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature.
• Deliver orders to maintain fast service.
• Eliminate obstacles in service, prep lines or dishwashing.
• Inspect premises for quality and sanitation; assist in cleaning.
• Transfer important information between kitchen and wait staff.
• Support other tasks as needed.

This role coordinates communication between the front-of-house team and kitchen staff, confirms that dishes meet quality and presentation standards, and helps maintain efficient service during busy shifts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain an efficient flow of orders from the servers to the kitchen
• Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
• Assist in the final preparation of dishes (Garnish, Clean plates, Sauces etc.)
• Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature
• Deliver orders to maintain fast service
• Eliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines or dishwashing
• Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning
• Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff
• Support other tasks as needed
