Job summary

Clyde's Restaurant Group is hiring a Food Runner for the new Ebbitt House in Reston, VA. You will support servers, carry and deliver plates, assist expediters, and help maintain a clean, efficient dining room in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Friendly, hardworking, and hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain the highest level of service.
• Problem solvers that can handle customer matters with courtesy, dignity, and respect.
• Great verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible availability to work mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and weekdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry the order in hand or on a tray to the table and serve the plates for the customer at the table
• Assist chefs with expediting orders, including assembly, garnishing, and inspecting the delicious food dishes for quality and visual appeal of the plate
• Read the food ticket, pick up plates, and organize them in hand or on a tray for delivery to the tables
• Remove dirty plates, glasses, and utensils from other tables and deliver them to the dishwashing station
• Notify the expediter of other tables ready to be served
• Replenish the stations with product and supplies including hot water, brewed coffee beans, tea, milk, utensils, plates, bread, butter, jellies, other garnishes, and condiments
• Break down and clean work area, store perishable product, clean equipment and supplies, and restock to end of day par levels
