Job summary

Rosa Mexicano in New York, NY is seeking a friendly Food Runner to support the dining room team and ensure a memorable guest experience from arrival to dessert.

You will relay orders, present dishes, and maintain a clean, organized expo area while collaborating with the kitchen and front-of-house in a fast-paced environment that celebrates Latin hospitality.

What You'll Do

• We believe in Warm Latin Hospitality, welcome every guest like they’re walking into your home

• Serve up the best part of the guest experience – the culinary experience

• Follow our Service Steps as outlined

• Double check each dish at Exp o for accuracy, special requests, and timing

• Garnish and finish every plate before it leaves the kitchen, following our recipe specs

• Move with purpose and positivity, staying calm and focused even when the restaurant is buzzing

• Ensure food arrives promptly, presented by seat numbers, and at the right temperature

• Maintain all Health and Sanitation Standards

• Keep a "never walk past a napkin on the floor" mentality

• Act as the link between the dining room and the kitchen, communicating effectively

• Work with Chef and the kitchen to maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked expo area so the kitchen runs efficiently through every rush

• Quickly clean and turnover tables to maintain dining room efficiency

• Handle glassware, silverware, and plateware with care

• Participate in pre-shifts, trainings, and team meetings — because we grow together

• Work together with your teammates to keep the energy high and the service seamless — at Rosa Mexicano, teamwork is always on the menu
