Job summary

Workstream is seeking a Food Runner to support servers in delivering excellent guest service. You will help set up, restock, clear, and reset tables, while maintaining clean dining areas and assisting with food delivery.

The role requires strong teamwork, reliable English communication, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical stamina is essential for long shifts in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of a dynamic team to consistently deliver a quality product.
• Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and team members in English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work flexible shifts including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up the expedition area at beginning of each shift and breakdown at end of shift.
• Manicure tables and restock clean dishes.
• Set and clear tables; stock service stations and assist servers.
• Transport dirty tableware to dishwashing area; keep tables and areas clean.
• Support servers with food delivery, especially for large parties and peak times.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards to the manager.

Job description

The Food Runner provides support to Restaurant Server in all aspects of service by;

stocking all service areas and maintaining adequate supplies during meal period, cleaning and

presetting all tables; assisting with service of beverages, transportation of food trays to dining

room; cleaning of all public areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up the expedition area at beginning of every shift, breakdown at the end of the shift
• Manicure Tables & restock clean dishes
• Set and clear tables
• Stock all service stations and assists food servers with table service
• Clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting
• Reset all service ware as prescribed
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations
• Transport all dirty tableware to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
• Between seating promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths
• Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop
• Respond appropriately to guest requests, communicating requests to server as needed
• Communicate with server/hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service
• Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules including weekends holidays and overtime if necessary
