Job summary

Located in Historic Downtown Fullerton, Madero Cantina seeks a Food Runner to support a fast-paced restaurant and bar team. You will pick up and deliver food, ensure proper presentation, and assist servers and kitchen staff to maintain seamless service.

The role emphasizes clear communication, safety, and guest-first service. Successful candidates will be motivated, team-oriented, and able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have or obtain a California Food Handler Certificate before training
• Previous food service experience preferred
• Capable to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, including frequent overhead lifting
• Capable to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
• Clear communication skills and a guest-first mindset

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver food orders promptly and accurately to guests
• Ensure dishes are presented correctly and consistently, meeting restaurant quality standards
• Communicate guest requests and special instructions clearly to servers and kitchen staff
• Assist servers and kitchen staff as needed to support smooth and timely service
• Complete opening, side work, and closing duties to keep the service areas organized and ready for the next shift
• Anticipate needs during service to help create a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests
• Maintain all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in accordance with Health Department and restaurant guidelines

Compensation
