Job summary

The Mexicano | Chandler is hiring a Food Runner to connect the kitchen and dining room in Chandler, AZ. You will help dishes arrive quickly and look appealing while supporting the front-of-house and back-of-house teams.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in a high-volume setting, strong communication, and a can-do attitude. The role requires standing, lifting up to 20 pounds, and availability on weekdays, weekends, and some holidays, with a Food Handler Card obtainable on hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
• Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
• Current Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining areas before service, including setting silverware, napkins, tableware, and condiments
• Deliver food from the kitchen to guests quickly, accurately, and professionally
• Remove used dishes and replenish table settings as needed
• Clean and reset tables to maintain a polished dining room
• Serve as a communication link between Front of House and Back of House teams
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and health and safety standards
• Assist guests and communicate requests or feedback to the appropriate team members
• Support overall restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
