Job summary

The Juris Agency is seeking a guest-focused food service team member to ensure the quality and timely presentation of meals. You will read orders, prepare items according to recipes, and assist with plating and delivering dishes to tables.

This role emphasizes staying stocked, clean, and safe on the line, collaborating with teammates to meet guest needs, and supporting operations during busy periods. Candidates should be able to stand long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Able to understand and speak the predominant language of guests.
• Able to read food tickets in English.
• Able to work in a standing and walking position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Able to bend, stoop, reach, carry and lift objects up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Able to maneuver between tables and narrow spaces with ease.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchens or supply areas to tables.
• Read tickets and prepare, to order, all food items following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits.
• Prepare recipes and plate presentations, correctly set up according to tickets.
• Pass out food dishes to guests by seat number.
• Locate items requested by guests.
• Prepare assigned food items. Wash and clean raw food products. Peel, dice, shred and slice food products used for garnishments.
• Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove trash.
• Serve food to guests when servers need assistance.
• Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, or trays.
• Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in food service areas or other areas of the restaurant, and mop or vacuum floors.
• Stock garnishments, condiments and other items on expo.
• Respond appropriately to guest requests, and communicate guest requests to server as needed.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.
• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
• Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
