Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County is seeking a Food Rescue Manager to lead the strategic direction of the Retail Recovery Alliance. The role focuses on edible food recovery, donor engagement, and compliance across multiple partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit management, supply chain, or related areas.
• Experience leading programs without direct supervisory responsibility.
• SB 1383 implementation or Feeding America network experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning, program development, and continuous improvement of the Food Recovery Program.
• Develop donor engagement strategies and cultivate partnerships with retailers, wholesalers, and food donors.
• Lead training for agency partners and donors, creating instructional materials and SOPs.
• Ensure program compliance with SB 1383, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, and develop executive dashboards.
