Job summary

Second Harvest of Silicon Valley is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a county-focused partner relationship team and oversee program design, implementation, and evaluation for a nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger. You will guide collaboration with partners, site leaders, and internal teams to strengthen food access and equity across Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.

You will manage a hybrid-remote team, hire and develop program managers, ensure compliance with USDA/Feeding America

Qualifications

• Six to eight years of applicable work and educational experiences with at least three years of complex project management experience.
• Excellent people management skills with two years supervising people.
• Demonstrated experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation for non-profit or social change organizations.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with people of various ages, educational, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds and demonstration of cultural humility.
• A strong foundation in diversity, equity, and belonging, and a proven commitment to ongoing professional development in this area.
• Working knowledge of public and private community service resources within San Mateo County or Santa Clara County would be ideal.
• Demonstrated ability to express ideas clearly via telephone, in person and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead County-Focused Partner Relationship Team with five to six direct reports and several indirect reports.
• Hire, supervise and develop five to six Program Managers and their teams in a hybrid-remote/field setting.
• Coach managers to address food flow needs and client/partner concerns.
• Ensure partners are connected equitably to food and services while balancing sustainability.
• Develop procedures and systems for all food provision methods (auto-menu, shopping, retail, online ordering, delivery).
• Build relationships with community partners to meet strategic goals and expand collaborations.
• Ensure compliance with Feeding America, USDA, and Second Harvest standards; manage data and reporting.
