Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Receiving Team Member to manage product deliveries, stock refrigerated items, and maintain organized receiving areas in Westport. The role requires attention to detail, safety, and collaborative teamwork with store leadership and other staff.

The position offers hourly compensation with Whole Benefits and requires flexibility including weekends and holidays. Prior experience in a grocery or warehouse environment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Standing and walking for extended periods up to 4 hours.
• Bending and stooping to grasp objects; climbing ladders.
• Know and practice proper lifting techniques; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing and pulling.
• Must be able to bend/twist neck and waist, reach above/below shoulders.
• Able to lift/carry 10 pounds regularly, 11–25 pounds intermittently.
• Communicate and maintain safety standards; work with others.

Responsibilities

• Process all product deliveries with care and efficiency.
• Receive and stock refrigerated items, maintain backstock and cooler.
• Keep receiving area clean, organized, and secure.
• Document transfers, waste, and discrepancies properly.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
• Operate equipment safely and adhere to dress code.
