Job summary

Maker's Pride is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure food safety within our Quality Monitoring Scheme and uphold regulatory and customer quality initiatives. Hours: Mon-Fri with overtime/weekends; 2nd and 3rd shifts.

You will perform hourly quality checks on production lines, escalate discrepancies, and ensure compliance with HACCP, allergen, sanitation, and GMP standards. Maintain 5-S, label and store samples, and support product trials and audits as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 months of experience as a QA Technician.
• 1 year of experience in QA or a technical department preferred.
• Detail-oriented with ability to spot defects on fast-moving production lines.
• Must be able to perform basic math including fractions, ratios and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks on production lines hourly for each line (often 2–3 lines).
• Document discrepancies and report to Supervisor or Quality Manager.
• Ensure products meet regulatory and customer requirements per Bluebook specifications.
• Maintain 5-S and keep work areas clean.
• Label, store, and organize samples and retentions.
• Follow Hold Procedures for non-conforming materials or product.
• Assist in HACCP and Preventive Controls checks and tests.
• Support audits or inspections as required.
