Actalent is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for its Union City, CA facility to monitor food safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role jobs across GMP compliance, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring adherence to FDA/USDA expectations and supporting audits with hands-on testing and recordkeeping.

Qualificações

• Experience in food science, food safety, or a related quality assurance function in a food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMPs and ability to reinforce GMP behaviors on the production floor.
• Hands-on QA experience including product inspections, analytical testing, and documentation.
• Ability to perform tests related to color, pH, seal integrity, temperature, date coding, X-ray monitoring, weight checks, label accuracy, allergen control, and cleanliness.
• Ability to perform environmental testing such as ATP and allergen tests.
• Calibrating and using laboratory equipment with attention to accuracy and recordkeeping.

Responsabilidades

• Perform regular inspections and testing of products and processes to verify compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Document all food safety checks accurately and maintain records.
• Ensure all stakeholders follow GMP and housekeeping practices.
• Conduct product hold and release activities and advise on corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and environmental testing."
• Collect retain samples and evaluate products at end of shelf life.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment and maintain calibration records.
• Act as a monitor for reinforcing GMPs across plant and warehouse facilities.
• Lead GMP by example and communicate GMP findings and actions.
