Job summary

The Mennel Milling Company in Newton, NC is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support our food safety programs and ensure quality, uniformity, and service. You will conduct testing to meet internal and external specifications and uphold our Food Safety and Quality Statement.

The role covers calibration, data reporting, and coordinating R&D testing requests, with duties including coverage for the QA Manager when needed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; higher degree preferred.
• Ability to pass a Respirator Fit Test and work while wearing a respirator.
• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks to complete assignments efficiently.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of material flow through processes; proficient with MS Office and related software.
• Effective communication with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Test, analyze, and report results for internal and external customers.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot analyses; maintain calibration logs.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform sanitation duties.
• Coordinate R&D testing requests and assist with research projects.
• Cover for QA Manager or Lead Technician when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
