Job summary

Gate Gourmet in Newark, NJ is seeking a Food Supervisor to oversee a 30+ team in high-volume food production for airline service. You will ensure quality, safety, sanitation, and compliance with HACCP, FDA regulations, and company specs.

You will manage labor and food costs, train and coach staff, prepare reports, and work with maintenance to keep equipment running. A High School diploma is required, associates preferred, and ServSafe certification is desired.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in high-volume food production.
• Ability to manage 30+ hourly employees.
• Knowledge of HACCP and FDA regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Supports and supervises a 30+ staff to maintain quality production.
• Ensures compliance with HACCP, FDA regulations and customer specs.
• Monitors labor and food costs and implements cost-control measures.
• Keeps daily logs and reports on attendance, safety, and quality metrics.
• Trains, coaches and disciplines staff; coordinates with HR as needed.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards across the unit.
