Job summary

Gate Gourmet in Newark, NJ is seeking a motivated supervisor to oversee a team of 30+ hourly employees in a high-volume food production operation, ensuring safety, quality, HACCP compliance and adherence to FDA standards. You will supervise labor and food cost controls and coordinate with management to improve unit performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing or food service.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of HACCP, FDA regulations, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to manage labor costs and food cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 40 hourly employees, ensuring safe, compliant operations.
• Maintain quality production standards and proper documentation.
• Monitor sanitation, HACCP, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare management reports on attendance, labor, and efficiencies.
• Control costs and optimize workflow across shifts.
• Coordinate training and performance coaching.
• Maintain temperature and logs; liaise with HR.
