Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the efficient and high-quality production of food items for airline passengers.
- Manage and lead a team of production staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure meal preparation according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, following industry regulations.
- Optimize workflow, reduce waste, and maximize productivity through production planning and inventory management.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and materials.
- Address operational challenges with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain quality control and efficiency to contribute to dnata Catering's success.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate food production teams.
- Ensure on-time performance and process efficiency.
- Adhere to food safety standards including HACCP, FDA, and internal regulations.
- Manage daily food production operations and staff.
- Coordinate food tasting sessions and quality assurance.
- Plan work schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
- Manage budgets, labor standards, and staffing levels.
- Identify issues and propose solutions to management.
- Ensure safety and security procedures are followed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent; or 5+ years related experience, preferably in complex food production environments like airline catering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and culinary procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents.
- Flexible, team-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Physical and Work Environment
Requires standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Exposure to cold environments (35-40°F) and noisy settings indoors.
Additional Information
