Job summary

CareersInFood.com is seeking a PM Food Manufacturing Supervisor in California to oversee a production area, lead a team of hourly workers, and own safety, quality, and throughput on the shift.

You will enforce GMP/HACCP, manage line efficiency, ensure timely data collection, and coordinate with QA, maintenance, scheduling, and HR. This role requires ability to work rotating shifts and maintain a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production or manufacturing experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
• Demonstrated ability to lead hourly teams, manage shift operations, and drive accountability
• Strong communication skills—written and verbal; ability to complete accurate production documentation
• Proficiency in reading and executing a production schedule
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Enforce GMP and HACCP compliance on the production floor each shift
• Own safety and housekeeping, maintain 5S standards
• Start and end shifts on time; ensure lines are set up and running
• Accurately document logs, batch records, and shift reports
• Lead and develop hourly production employees; coach and train
• Collaborate with quality, maintenance, scheduling, and HR to solve problems
• Escalate issues with context and data when needed
