Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Material Handler in Ferndale, MI for all three shifts in a refrigerated food production facility. You will manage the filler machines, operate an electric pallet jack, stock lines, and perform weight checks while complying with PPE requirements.

Shifts run 6am–2:30pm, 2:30pm–11pm, and 10:30pm–6am in a contract-to-hire arrangement. The role requires lifting up to 40 lbs, basic math, and comfort with computer systems.

Qualifications

• Experience operating an electric pallet jack and handling pallets.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
• Proficient with basic math for production calculations.
• Comfortable using computer systems for scale operations and weight checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate an electric pallet jack to move finished goods from lines to dock.
• Stock production lines with containers and lids.
• Perform basic production math for cups and lids required.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machines; inspect and operate equipment.
• Navigate computer systems for scale and weight checks.
