Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead 30+ associates in finished goods packaging, ensuring on-time, quality output aligned with specs and schedules.

The ideal candidate will coach operators on standard work, drive safety and GMP compliance, and partner with leadership to improve plant performance and associate development. This role emphasizes hands-on supervision on the production floor and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 year degree in a relevant field.
• Experience supervising and training production personnel up to 30 people.
• Experience in a union shop is helpful.
• Experience in manufacturing in a food environment.
• Conversational Spanish helpful but not required.
• Broad knowledge of plant systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Spend >90% on the plant floor coaching operators and temps.
• Ensure production targets while maintaining safety and quality.
• Make shift decisions to optimize plant performance.
• Track metrics and provide performance feedback.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts in the area.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, sanitation and safety standards.
