Job summary

B and D Foods is seeking a Production Cutting Room Lead for the evening shift to oversee the daily activities of the cutting room team in a refrigerated meat-processing environment. You will ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while guiding staff through cutting operations and equipment setup.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and hands-on knowledge of food-production equipment, with a focus on maintaining high standards and staying compliant with GMPs and SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in food production or manufacturing is preferred.
• Knowledge of GMPs, SOPs, and safety standards is expected.
• Ability to lead and train production staff.
• Experience with pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus.
• Comfort working in refrigerated environments around meat products.
• Evening shift availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide production employees during daily tasks.
• Coordinate work to meet schedules, efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Ensure safe operation and adherence to GMPs and SOPs.
• Train staff on procedures and equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues.
• Maintain records of downtime, changes, and material usage.
• Back up Department Manager during absences.
• Communicate concerns to management.
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
