Job summary

Pilgrim's is hiring entry-level team members at our Texas plant. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with opportunities for raises based on performance and tenure.

You will work in a fast-paced production environment, following FDA and Pilgrim's quality standards. Responsibilities include operating knives and equipment, following SOPs, maintaining a clean and safe area, and collaborating with coworkers to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Food production or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow simple instructions.
• Ability to apply common sense and sound judgment.
• Ability to resolve routine problems involving a few concrete variables.
• Ability to work in cold environments (approximately 40°F).
• Ability to stand, use hands, and perform repetitive tasks for 8–12 hours per day.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work in close proximity to other team members (within 3 feet).
• Strong communication skills.
• Good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Process product using knives, tools, manual labor, and company-provided equipment in accordance with FDA regulations and Pilgrim’s quality standards.
• Follow established operating procedures to meet quality and production expectations.
• Monitor equipment operation and promptly report malfunctions, safety concerns, or unusual conditions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support team members by sharing knowledge and assisting as needed.
• Follow all company policies related to personnel, safety, food safety, and quality.
• Contribute to a positive work environment by communicating and working cooperatively with co-workers, leadership, and internal partners.
• Identify and respond appropriately to safety risks; reinforce safe work habits.
• Participate in process improvement efforts using continuous improvement and problem-solving methods.
• Adhere to all company guidelines and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
