Job summary

Fortune Fish & Gourmet in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Sanitation Associate to uphold the highest cleanliness standards in our facilities and equipment, ensuring product quality and process integrity.

You will perform cleaning, washdown, chemical handling, and maintain sanitation logs, complying with GMP, HACCP, and health rules.

Requires 1+ year sanitation experience in a food setting, high school diploma, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in wet or cold environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in janitorial work or sanitation.
• Preferably within a food processing, meat, or seafood environment.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team setting.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, walls, and drains, and maintain an organized workspace.
• Disassemble, scrub, and sanitize processing machinery, tables, and conveyors per SSOPs.
• Safely dilute and apply heavy-duty cleaning chemicals and sanitizers.
• Monitor for contamination and report to Supervisor promptly.
• Sign sanitation logs and ensure GMP, HACCP, and health regulations compliance.
• Keep supply closet orderly and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Must be able to work on feet, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in wet or cold environments.
