Job summary

Fortune Fish & Gourmet is seeking a Sanitation Associate in Minnesota, Minneapolis. The role centers on maintaining cleanliness of facilities and equipment to ensure product quality and process integrity.

You will work with operations to implement sanitation solutions, perform equipment washdowns, chemical handling, and comply with GMP/HACCP standards. A high school diploma and 1+ years in sanitation or janitorial work are expected.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in janitorial work or sanitation, preferably in a food processing, meat, or seafood environment.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Clean floors, walls, and drains; remove waste and maintain a organized workspace.
Disassemble, scrub, and sanitize processing machinery, tables, and conveyor belts per SSOPs.
Safely dilute and apply heavy-duty cleaning chemicals and sanitizers per safety guidelines.
Monitor for contamination issues and report to Supervisor.
Sign sanitation logs and ensure GMP, HACCP and local health requirements.
Maintain orderly supply closet and foster good working relationships with Fortune employees.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
