Job summary

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Manager for a USDA-regulated food processing facility in Georgia. You will oversee daily sanitation operations, ensure compliance with USDA, FSIS, SSOPs, and HACCP, and lead a team of sanitation staff to uphold safety and quality during production.

The role requires 3–5+ years of sanitation experience, supervisory background, and strong knowledge of food safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5+ years of sanitation experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, SSOPs, and HACCP principles.
• Familiarity with sanitation chemicals, CIP systems, and food safety practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily sanitation operations, including pre-op and post-op cleaning
• Ensure compliance with USDA, FSIS, SSOPs, HACCP, and food safety requirements
• Develop, implement, and maintain sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs)
• Lead, train, and supervise sanitation employees and supervisors
• Conduct sanitation inspections and pre-operational checks
• Coordinate sanitation activities with Production, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance
• Manage sanitation chemicals, supplies, and inventory
• Investigate and resolve sanitation issues and corrective actions
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory visits
