Job summary

You will operate production and packaging equipment after training, monitor product quality, and follow schedules in a fast-paced food production environment, contributing to overall productivity and safety.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, wash, grade, trim, peel, cut or process sweet potatoes per production requirements.
• Operate production and packaging equipment safely after training.
• Monitor quality, size, appearance, cleanliness and packaging.
• Load and unload product, boxes, containers or materials as directed.
• Package and label finished products accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area during the shift.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, quality control and safety procedures.
• Follow production schedules and meet productivity and quality standards.
• Remove damaged or defective product.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and sanitation per procedures.
• Report equipment problems, product-quality concerns, safety hazards to supervisor.
• Use required PPE properly.
• Work cooperatively with coworkers and other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
