Job summary

Shearer's Foods, LLC is hiring a Food Processing Machine Operator to work day (7am–7pm) and night (7pm–7am, with a $3 shift differential) shifts. Training hourly rate starts at $22.24, with opportunities to grow as you learn our production lines.

The role involves setting up and running industrial equipment, following recipes, performing quality tests, monitoring temperatures, and keeping equipment clean. Applicants should be able to read and communicate with the team and have basic computer

Qualifications

Experience operating machinery preferred.
Food/beverage manufacturing experience a plus.
Must read, understand, and communicate with team members.
Able to perform simple math and run run rates.
Ability to follow written or oral instructions with good reasoning.
Troubleshooting skills to find root causes and address issues.
Basic computer knowledge to run production (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

Set up and operate industrial food processing equipment according to procedures.
Follow precise recipes and work procedures, monitor and adjust processing variables.
Perform product quality tests and collect data.
Monitor fryer and oil temperatures to maintain product consistency.
Clean and sanitize processing equipment.
Change slicing heads hourly to ensure consistent slicing.
