Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to join our production team. You will operate and adjust production machinery, perform preventive maintenance, and support team objectives while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with others, maintaining inventory, and following company policies. Some lifting and forklift operation may be required, with PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to perform basic math.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting production machinery is a plus.
• Food processing or poultry industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with personnel to ensure specifications are met.
• Adjusts production machines for efficiency, quality, and accuracy with minimal waste.
• Set up and operate production machines daily to production standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspect equipment regularly.
• Assist maintenance with troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and handwritten product specs.
• May require forklift operation and licensing.
• Participate in team development and follow BEST practices.
• Adhere to Simmons operating systems and company policies.
• Perform other duties as necessary to support business objectives.
• Physical work: stand for shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, work in cool/noisy environments.
