Job summary

Chobani is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment. You will support process optimization, troubleshooting, equipment projects, and capital improvements alongside the Engineering team and onsite partners.

Responsibilities include updating P&IDs, applying core engineering fundamentals, and presenting findings to stakeholders. This internship emphasizes end-to-end project ownership and real-world problem solving within our manufacturing

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2029.
• Available for Summer 2027 internship.
• Able to work onsite at our South Edmeston, NY manufacturing facility.
• Coursework in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer.
• Foundational understanding of fluid and mechanical systems.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to analyze problems.

Responsibilities

• Support capital projects and capital improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production and process-system issues.
• Support optimization projects and engineering studies with onsite teams.
• Update P&IDs and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Apply engineering fundamentals to fluid-processing and mechanical systems.
• Support process-system sizing and equipment specification.
• Collect and analyze technical information to understand problems.
• Prepare scope documents and engineering descriptions.
• Present progress and findings to stakeholders.
