Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Prep Worker II at the Konover Campus Center in West Hartford, CT. The role involves supporting cooks by preparing ingredients, following recipes, and ensuring food safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will set up stations, measure and prepare items, and assist with sanitation, portioning, and proper storage while delivering friendly service and complying with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Basic math and counting skills required.
• Interpersonal and verbal communication skills required.
• Food safety responsibilities and sanitation knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely utilizes a variety of utensils including knives.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines.
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude toward guests and staff.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation.
• Ensures security of company assets.
