Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a dedicated Site Supervisor to manage daily sanitation operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance at customer plants across North America. The role emphasizes leadership and coordination of sanitation staff in a fast-paced food safety environment.

As a leader, you will implement training programs, enforce procedures from the Team Member and Safety Handbooks, and report incidents.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 6 or more months of sanitation experience.
• Leadership and decision-making skills are required.
• General working knowledge of computers and technology including Microsoft Office
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• Ability to work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily work of sanitors and lead persons in designated departments to ensure safety and compliance.
• Direct the work of sanitation staff and allocate assignments among team members.
• Ensure sanitation staff operate safely and in line with governmental, customer, and company policies.
• Evaluate sanitors for promotions or status changes.
• Ensure adherence to internal procedures including Technical Services, HR, Accounting, IT, and customer service.
• Assist Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager with training programs including safety and ERP.
• Report and investigate all accidents.
• Other duties as assigned.
