Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead hourly Food Safety Sanitors and Lead Persons in our California plants, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant sanitation operations. This on-site role requires strong leadership and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments.

You will assign work, monitor safety, mentor staff, and participate in ongoing training, including ERP processes. Prior sanitation leadership experience and familiarity with MS Office and ERP systems are preferred;

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 6 or more months of sanitation experience.
• Leadership and decision‑making skills are required.
• General working knowledge of computers and technology including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”).
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• Ability to work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily sanitation staff in designated departments.
• Assign work to sanitors and leads, monitor performance.
• Ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with policies.
• Evaluate staff for promotions or changes in status.
• Ensure adherence to internal procedures and ERP usage.
• Support training programs including safety training and ERP.
• Report and investigate accidents; perform other duties as required.
