Job summary

Del Real Foods, a traditional Mexican food manufacturer, is seeking a Safety Lead to enhance environmental, health, and safety performance across production processes. You will drive safety programs, enforce procedures, and coordinate with EHS teams to ensure compliance with SQF, GMPs, USDA, and FDA guidelines.

The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage emergencies, conduct safety training, and promote a culture of safety and quality on the plant floor in Jurupa Valley, CA.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
• Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out procedures and employee safety practices
• Broad knowledge of state and federal safety guidelines
• Emergency protocols knowledge
• Familiarity with accident consequences and root cause analysis

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces employee’s safety procedures
• Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor
• Follows and enforces food safety procedures (SQF, GMPs)
• Ensures USDA & FDA guidelines compliance
• Oversees hazardous materials and machinery safety
• Maintains incident notifications and safety metrics
• Leads safety trainings and orientation on safety expectations
