Job summary

IRCA is a leading provider of semi-finished bakery ingredients, seeking a maintenance mechanic to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations in a food manufacturing environment. The role supports line operators and ensures compliance with safety and HACCP procedures.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, 10 years in maintenance, and a two-year technical degree or related training. The position requires strong mechanical/electrical skills and the ability to read prints.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• 10 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or related field.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is required.
• Two-year technical degree in a maintenance related field is required.
• Welding and mechanical power transmission experience.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and safety/maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and document results.
• Repair malfunctioning equipment using a "final task" method.
• Plan projects, equipment upgrades, and new installations.
• Provide assistance to line and machine operators.
• Provide documentation and root cause analysis research as needed.
• Support HACCP procedures across departments.
