Job summary

Randstad USA is hiring Maintenance Technicians for a fast-paced food manufacturing facility in the Chicago area. This direct-hire role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting safe plant operations.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of industrial plant maintenance experience (food industry preferred), knowledge of 3-phase motor controls, AC/DC drives, and PLC-based systems, and are comfortable working independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience in industrial plant maintenance (food industry preferred).
• Strong understanding of 3-phase motor controls, AC/DC drives, and PLC-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks, including equipment rebuilds.
• Execute PMs and document work performed using maintenance tracking systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics for troubleshooting.
• Support plant operations by coordinating maintenance activities with production teams.
• Order and manage parts inventory using Microsoft Office and internal systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace in line with GMP, HACCP, and safety protocols.
