Job summary

SnackCraft in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair equipment in a food manufacturing facility. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance to keep line performance high.

The role requires reading electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, with hands-on training and collaboration with production teams to minimize downtime and improve line efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance technology or similar program preferred.
• Ability to train and mentor maintenance trainees.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic expertise to production teams.
• Follow GMP, food safety, and maintenance policies.
• Maintain equipment to support safe, efficient production.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings and schematics.
• Perform preventive inspections and repairs and document inspections.
• Assist in managing maintenance projects and resources, including PLC troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with operations to keep lines running and perform start-up/shutdown per standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation and participate in continuous improvement.
