Job summary

Bento Sushi in Rhode Island operates a modern food production facility and is seeking a Food Manufacturing / Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead hands-on maintenance, repairs, and optimization of all equipment and machinery.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will drive reliability, safety, and process improvements while coordinating a diverse team and ensuring GMP compliance within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certs are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in food processing or similar environments is desirable.
• Proficient with CMMS software.
• Solid safety knowledge and practice.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• SQF maintenance knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance activities for the team, ensuring productivity and minimal downtime.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks and verify work correctness and safety.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Perform facility maintenance including plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Monitor work orders and manage spare parts inventory.
• Ensure GMP compliance and food safety policies.
