Job summary

Cacique Foods, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Amarillo, TX to oversee daily maintenance activities, lead a team of technicians, and develop preventive maintenance programs. You will ensure safety and food safety compliance, manage work orders, and coordinate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime.

The role requires 5+ years in food manufacturing maintenance, CMMS/SAP proficiency, and certifications such as CMRP/CPMM.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of maintenance experience in a food or dairy manufacturing environment.
• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
• Certified Plant Maintenance Manager (CPMM)
• OSHA Safety Certification
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) & micro switches with high-speed packaging equipment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency in GMP, HACCP, and other food safety standards
• Experience with maintenance software (CMMS/SAP)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities e.g. clean in place (CIP) systems and packaging lines across the plant
• Responsible for talent selection, onboarding, assimilation, and performance management of team members
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for production equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, GMP, HACCP, and other food safety standards
• Prioritize and assign work orders, ensuring timely completion of repairs and preventive maintenance
• May troubleshoot with technicians' mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems
• Provide on-call support and first point of contact to respond to emergency maintenance issues
• Maintain accurate records using CMMS
• Assist with capital planning projects and equipment installations
• Participate in root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to support operational goals
• Train and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management
